Excel Foundation Course on January 26 2026
Details
This is a full day instructor-led, in-person foundation course in Excel. The location is Cathedral View, which is 5 minutes walk from Victoria station in central London Directions
Bring a laptop with Excel (preferably the current version, Excel 365) installed. We will send out full joining instructions one week before the course.
Cost
The cost is £300 + VAT if booking before 30th September 2025, £400 + VAT if booked after that date.

Who should attend
This is a foundation course in Excel suitable for beginners and for people who have been using Excel for a while but want to refresh their understanding of the basics of Excel.

Learning Objectives
You will learn how to edit and view an Excel worksheet: navigate the sheets, learning common functions and how to write basic formulas.
Pre-requisites
None. This is a beginner level course.
Course Content
- Getting Started. Excel User Interface and Layout: Entering Data. Data validation
- Formulas. Relative and fixed cell references. Named ranges.
- Functions. Whirlwind tour of some of the most useful Excel functions.
- Introduction to Excel tables: how to create them and why they are very useful.
- Presenting data in tables. Conditional formatting (data bars, icons, sparklines).
