Transport for London introduced a bike hire schemes in London in 2010. These were originally nicknamed Boris Bikes and for some people are the only way to travel around London.
The data is in an Excel file here. This contains the number of bikes hired every day from 30th July 2010 to October 2025 (current version). This copy has an Excel table named bike_hires with two columns:
This makes it easier to load the data into Power BI or other tools since the table does not start in cell A1 and there is other data on the worksheet - the import can specify the Excel table name.
