This course is a deep dive into pivot tables and how to use them effectively. The topics include
- The benefits of using Excel tables as data sources for pivot tables.
- Basic of pivot tables: creating pivot tables, adding fields, filtering and sorting data.
- Using slicers to filter pivot table data.
- Grouping data in pivot tables: dates, numbers, and custom groups.
- Managing dates and grouping by month, quarter, year.
- Creating custom groups.
- Using calculated fields and items in pivot tables (percentage of total, running total etc).
- Formatting the data in pivot tables for better presentation.
- Creating pivot charts to visualise pivot table data.
