R Courses
The foundation course in R is suitable for beginners to R and focuses on data analysis with R: importing data from CSV and Excel files, shaping, cleaning then analysing and visualising the data. The lab exercises use the popular tidyverse collection of packages for data manipulation and visualisation.
There are two follow-on R courses:
- the Data Science with R course focuses on predictive models and machine learning. Attendees gain practical R skills to prepare data, do exploratory analysis, understand and practise machine learning techniques (supervised vs. unsupervised learning; training, validation, and model evaluation). The course introduces using the popular tidyverse, tidymodels, caret and keras packages.
- the R for Finance course covers financial time-series analysis and visualisation. Attendees gain practical R skills to analyse time-series data, and communicate financial insights effectively. It introduces the popular xts/zoo and quantmod packages.
