Excel Courses
We offer a learning path of three Excel courses:
- the foundation course helps absolute beginners to get started; for others it is a refresher of the basics: navigate Excel, enter data, write formulas, understand references, and an introduction to some useful functions;
- the intermediate course covers looking up data with VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP, and summarising data with pivot tables and functions;
- the advanced course covers sophisticated analytical techniques: e.g., goal seek, data tables, dynamic array functions. It also looks at how AI assistants like Copilot and ChatGPT can help us with our Excel challenges;
We also have several specialised Excel courses:
- the pivot tables course is a deep dive into using pivot tables to summarise and present data in Excel;
- the Excel formulas course covers the most useful Excel functions and how to use them effectively in formulas;
- the building financial models with Excel course covers techniques to robust financial projections, such as scenario models, sensitivity analysis, and Excel financial functions;
- the Excel best practices course covers how to design and build spreadsheets that are readable and robust.
- the Python in Excel course is an introduction to using Python in Excel and shows with a practical perspective on how we can take advantage of this.
- the automation for transactional finance staff course, aimed at professionals into accounts receivable, accounts payable and audit teams, covers techniques to clean and reconcile data and automate manual tasks in Excel.
